24-Hour Care
Some clients and their families prefer to have someone in the home at all times to monitor the client's condition and to provide assistance as needed throughout the day and night. This is typically accomplished through multiple caregivers working in shifts to provide assistance to our clients around the clock.
How Do You Pay?
Private Pay
Typically, your medical insurance will only pay for in-home medical care which is provided by a Home Health agency. Therefore, most of our clients pay for their care assistance out of pocket – using their own funds. We are now seeing some Medicare Advantage insurance companies beginning to cover a few hours of our in-home care assistance as well. Talk with your Medicare Advantage insurance provider to see if their plan will cover your in-home private duty care assistance.
Veterans' Aid & Assistance Benefits
Are you a Veteran or a Surviving Spouse of a Veteran and are you looking for assistance in the home? We can help you navigate the VA benefits application process and make the most of your situation so that you can remain right where you are - home sweet home. In 1952, Congress passed Title 38 of the United States Code, creating what we now call the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which authorizes benefits for veterans. One of these benefits is the Non-Service Connected Pension with “Aid and Attendance.” Call today to get the help you need to see if you qualify!
Long Term Care Insurance Benefits
Aging Assistant accepts Long Term Care insurance to pay for our services. Each policy is different so it is important to know the specific details of your policy and to contact your LTC insurance company prior to the start of our service. Our office staff will help you to submit the necessary documents.
